Traits
Dolly is an import from Sweden. Her pedigree is a mix of show and working with a field trial champion mother and a father that won the Swedish clubshow in 2006. Her father has a first prize in the middle level field trial in Sweden too so he is a multi-talented dog. Dolly was from a litter of 5 girls and 3 boys. As of 6/6/2008, all of Dolly’s littermates are alive - she has a sister in Sweden that has a CH who also has a middle level field trial prize. A brother in Switzerland is a CH also. 6 of her littermates have had hip xrays and none are dysplastic

Attitude & Trainability:
Dolly is a very trainable and sensible flat-coat. She is sweet and friendly to all with a great temperament with other dogs and with people. I have found her a very willing worker with lots of will to please. She is very responsive to praise and it doesn’t take much of a correction to alter her behavior. She can entertain herself and loves to be outside. She is easy to live with and is well mannered around the house. She does love to jump up on visitors though and she loves to meet new people.

Field:
Dolly is a good worker in the field. She is very birdy. She exhibits trainability and good gamefinding ability. Dolly has her WC and her JH and got these titles relatively easily. I am currently teaching her to handle so Senior Hunter will be in her sights. She is a good marker and exhibits good drive in the field – she is a steady and confident worker. She is good in the water – a strong swimmer.

Agility:
Dolly is a nice all around working dog. She is working in Novice agility but I don’t do a lot of practicing here - agility is more of a hobby. Dolly is responsive and eager to please.

Conformation:
Dolly is a very typey flat-coat with an excellent head-piece esp. from the side. She is on the larger size for a bitch with a pleasant silhouette. She has nice side movement but she toes in a bit in front. She has a very good coat and carries good feathering all year round. She is long in body and fairly well balanced front to rear. Ears are small and well set on and eye could be a bit darker but I wouldn’t consider it a light eye.

Health:
Dolly is a very healthy dog with good health clearances. She doesn’t exhibit any allergies nor any chronic ear infections. She is from a litter of 8. Her mother and father are alive at age 10 and her grandmother died at age 11. Dolly died at 9 probably of hemangiosarcoma. She had a tumor around or in her heart. She is sorely missed.
